Dripping and leaking taps repaired or replaced in kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms, with a one year warranty.

Electric showers, mixer valves, pumps, leaking trays, bath taps, wastes and cracked baths, repaired or replaced by the same plumber.
Electric showers, mixer valves, pumps, leaking trays, bath taps, wastes and cracked baths, repaired or replaced by the same plumber. Norbert replaces failed fittings but does not fit out bathrooms or re-enamel baths.

Most shower faults fall into three groups: wrong heat, weak flow, or water going where it should not. Norbert diagnoses the fault first, and says so when a replacement on the existing supply makes more sense.

A stain on the ceiling below a shower is one of the most common calls. Resealing and renewing the waste solves most of them.

The bath half of the job is just as common. When the bath itself cracks, flexes underfoot or has a failed joint, a new one goes in the same position.

Replacing a failed fitting is Norbert’s work. Fitting out a room is not. Within those lines, every repair and replacement across Kent, Surrey, Sussex and south-east London carries a one year warranty on parts and labour.

Plumber, start to finishDiagnosing a failed element, pressure switch or flow valve, or swapping a worn-out unit for a new one on the existing supply.
Replacing cartridges and thermostatic elements when the temperature swings, the flow drops or the valve drips.
Repairing or replacing a pump that has gone noisy, stopped starting or no longer lifts the pressure it should.
Resealing trays, renewing wastes and fixing the leaks that show up as a stain on the ceiling below.
Leaking or seized bath taps, failed wastes and overflows, traps, panels and a fresh silicone seal.
Removing a cracked or failed bath and fitting a new one in the same position, reconnected to the existing supply and waste.
No call centre and no hand-offs. The same man takes the call, quotes the work and does it.
Tell Norbert what is happening. He rings back himself to ask the questions that matter before anyone drives out.
He looks at the job, explains what has failed and what the fix involves, and gives you the quote before work starts.

Everyday plumbing repairs and replacements from Norbert himself, backed by over 20 years' experience and a one year warranty.

It depends on the fault and the age of the unit. A thermostatic cartridge, a pressure switch or a flow valve is usually worth replacing. An electric shower more than ten years old with a burnt-out element and scale throughout is often better replaced, and on the same supply the swap is straightforward. Norbert will tell you what he has found and give you both options where both are sensible.
On a mixer shower, the usual cause is a worn or scaled thermostatic cartridge that can no longer balance hot and cold as pressures change. It can also be a failing pump, or someone using water elsewhere in the house on a system without a balanced supply. On an electric shower, it points to a failing flow valve or element. Each has a different repair, which is why diagnosis comes first.
Usually. A bath of the same size can go into the same position and be reconnected to the existing taps and waste. The tiles or panelling around it will need resealing and occasionally a small amount of making good. Norbert does not tile, so where a bath change would disturb tiling significantly, he will tell you before starting.
No. Norbert repairs and replaces failed fittings: a shower, a bath, a tap, a waste, a pump or a tray. He does not fit out bathrooms, wet rooms or ensuites, and does no tiling or underfloor heating. The line is the fitting, not the room. If you are planning a full refit, you need a bathroom installer for that job.
No. Re-enamelling and resurfacing are a separate trade using coatings and spray equipment, and Vision Plumbing does not offer them. If your bath is chipped or dull but sound, a resurfacing specialist is the right call. If it is cracked, leaking or failing structurally, Norbert can take it out and fit a new one.
The most common causes are a failed seal around the tray or bath, a leaking waste connection under the tray, or water getting behind cracked grout and sealant on the walls. Less often it is the supply pipework to the valve. Norbert checks each in turn, starting with the simplest, so the fix goes to the right place instead of resealing everything and hoping.
A line about the job is enough. Norbert reads every enquiry himself and rings you back to talk it through before he quotes.
