01Can you work outside our opening hours?
Yes, and for most commercial jobs that is the point. Norbert arranges non-urgent work before opening, after close or on the day you are quietest, so staff and customers are not working around a plumber. For genuine emergencies, the 24-hour call-out means he can be rung whenever the problem appears, including when you are shut.
02Do you work directly with tenants on behalf of landlords?
Yes. Landlords and letting agents can pass the tenant's details over, and Norbert will arrange access with the tenant, carry out the repair and report back to you on what he found and what he did. Because he is one person, the tenant deals with the same plumber from the first call to the finished job.
03Do you do commercial gas or catering equipment work?
No. Vision Plumbing does no gas work of any kind, commercial or domestic, so no gas appliances, catering gas equipment or gas certificates. Commercial work here means the water: supply pipework, toilets, basins, taps, water heaters, wastes and drains. For anything on the gas side you will need a registered gas engineer.
04Can you clear a blocked drain at a pub or restaurant?
Yes. Commercial kitchens and bars put fat, food waste and residue down their drains in quantities no house does, and the build-up hardens into a lining that rodding only partly shifts. Norbert brings his own jetting equipment to scour it out, and can run a camera through afterwards to check whether the pipe has been damaged.
05How do you handle access to shared or occupied buildings?
Tell Norbert who holds keys, who needs notice and when the building is quietest, and he works to that. For offices above shops, flats over pubs and similar mixed buildings, he will check whether a fault is on your supply or a shared one before starting, so you are not paying for work on someone else's pipework.
06Is the one year warranty the same for commercial work?
Yes. Parts and labour on commercial jobs are covered for a year, exactly as on domestic work. If a repair Norbert carried out at your premises fails within that time, he comes back and puts it right, and he will fit the return visit around your hours in the same way as the original job.
