For a commercial plumber that matters: when a drain, a cylinder or a burst threatens your trading day, you want one accountable name, not a ticket number. **Key Points** - What the annual unvented cylinder check looks at, in order - When an immersion heater is repaired and when it is replaced - Why a located gas leak goes straight to a registered gas engineer - What to turn off first when a burst hits out of hours - How jetting and CCTV deal with pub and shop drains Vision Plumbing is a sole trader plumbing, drainage and hot water business. Norbert Barna quotes the work and does the work, exactly as he does when landlords call him to [replace a hot water cylinder in Maidstone](https://visionplumbing.co.uk/unvented-cylinder-installation-and-repair-maidstone/), so the person you agreed the job with is the person answerable for it. Get a quick quote from Vision Plumbing for your Maidstone premises and the job can be planned around the hours you trade. ## Commercial Plumbing Services A shop with no working toilet cannot open. A pub with a blocked kitchen drain cannot serve food. A letting agent with a tenant and no hot water has a complaint landing by lunchtime. Commercial plumbing is measured in downtime, so we plan the work around the hours your premises are open and closed. Vision Plumbing is Norbert Barna. He quotes the job and he does it. There is no dispatch list between your call and the person who turns up. For landlords, letting agents, pubs, shops and small offices across Maidstone, the work covers: - Leaking and dripping taps, repaired or replaced - Failed shower fittings, electric showers, mixer and thermostatic valves, pumps and leaking trays - Unvented hot water cylinders, installed, repaired and checked - Immersion heaters, repaired or replaced - Radiator repairs, valves, bleeding and balancing - Blocked drains, CCTV drain surveys and high-pressure jetting - Hidden water leaks traced with thermal imaging and acoustic equipment That list matters because each item is a closure risk. Fixing it before opening, or after close, keeps your takings intact. **Get a quick quote from Vision Plumbing for commercial plumber work in Maidstone, planned around your opening hours and backed by a one year warranty on parts and labour.** [Quick Quote Online](#contact)[Call Now: 07379 636676](tel:+447379636676) ## Planned Preventative Maintenance in Maidstone Most commercial failures give warning first. A slow drain. A cylinder that drips from its discharge pipe. A planned visit catches those while they are still cheap to put right, and it runs in a fixed order. ### 1. The walk-round Every tap, WC, shower and visible pipe run is checked for drips, weeping joints and poor flow. Stopcock positions are found and tested, so you know where they are before you need them. ### 2. The unvented cylinder check An unvented cylinder runs at mains pressure and depends on its safety devices. The annual check works through them in sequence: the expansion vessel charge, the pressure reducing valve, the temperature and pressure relief valve, and the tundish and discharge pipe. A cylinder that passes water into the tundish is telling you one of those has failed. ### 3. Drains on camera Where a drain keeps blocking, the CCTV camera goes in. Norbert owns and runs it, so the recording and the report come from the man who watched the screen. ### 4. The written findings You get what was found and what needs doing. Nothing is done without your say. ## Hot Water Cylinder and Radiator Maintenance Hot water is the complaint tenants raise fastest. Often the cause is the immersion heater, and repair and replacement get equal weight here. A faulty thermostat, a loose connection or a wiring fault can be repaired. A burnt-out or seized element has to be replaced, and so does the unit where the element will not draw. The test result decides it, not habit. Radiators in offices and flats above shops are his work too: bleeding, balancing, new valves and replacement radiators. The boiler behind them is not. That goes to a registered gas engineer. A commercial plumber in Maidstone or a [commercial plumber in Sevenoaks](https://visionplumbing.co.uk/commercial-plumber-sevenoaks/): the same man, the same equipment, the same warranty. ## Plumbing Installation and Upgrades in Maidstone Upgrades in commercial premises are usually replacements done well. A worn tap swapped for a new one. A failed electric shower in a let flat replaced. A new unvented cylinder fitted where an old vented system keeps failing, which is his own speciality. The sequence is simple. Isolate the supply. Drain down only the section being worked on. Fit, test under pressure, and check for leaks before the water goes back on. Isolating locally means the rest of the building keeps running while one section is off. Fitting out a bathroom is not part of this. Replacing what has failed is. **Get a quick quote from Vision Plumbing for commercial plumber work in Maidstone, planned around your opening hours and backed by a one year warranty on parts and labour.** [Quick Quote Online](#contact)[Call Now: 07379 636676](tel:+447379636676) ## Gas Leak Location and Handover Water leaks under commercial floors are found without lifting them first. Thermal imaging shows where hot pipework is losing heat. Acoustic tracing listens for escaping water along the run. Then one board comes up, not ten. Gas is different. A suspected gas leak can be located, and that is where the work stops. Anyone working on gas must be on the Gas Safe Register, so a located gas leak is handed straight to a registered gas engineer. No gas pipework is repaired and no gas certificate is issued. ## Emergency Plumbing Repairs A burst at 2am in a flat above a shop soaks the stock below by morning. The 24-hour emergency call-out exists for that. Before you call, turn the water off at the main stopcock. Then switch off the electrics in any area where water is coming through a ceiling. Every minute the supply stays on is more water in the floor void. Then call, and Norbert is the one who answers and the one who comes. ## Commercial Property and Industry Support Pub and restaurant drains clog with fat, scale and silt that rodding will not shift. Norbert owns the high-pressure jetting equipment, so it is not hired in and not subcontracted. Where a drain has collapsed rather than blocked, the camera shows it, and the repair is either dig or no-dig depending on the damage. A lining repair suits a cracked pipe that still holds its line. A collapsed section has to be dug out. For landlords and letting agents, a CCTV drain survey settles who is responsible: a recording and a written report showing where a defect sits and what caused it. It is also the evidence an insurer will ask for. If you are searching for a commercial plumber close to your premises, Maidstone sits inside the Kent area he covers. And your shop, pub or office gets exactly what homes rely on from our [plumber in Sevenoaks](https://visionplumbing.co.uk/resources/plumber-sevenoaks/): one man, his own camera and jetting kit, and a one year warranty on parts and labour.
